The Florida Judicial System and sentencing guidelines for drug trafficking convictions can be very severe, including, but not limited to:

1st degree felony drug trafficking:

Trafficking in Cannabis / Marijuana: In excess of 25 but less than 2,000 pounds or 300 or ore cannabis plants, which could result in a mandatory 3 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
Trafficking in Cannabis / Marijuana: 2,000 pounds but less than 10,000 pounds or is 2,000 or more cannabis plants, which could result in a mandatory 7 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
Trafficking in Cannabis / Marijuana: 10,000 pounds or more or is 10,000 or more cannabis plants, which could result in a mandatory 15 years in prison and a $200,000 fine.
Trafficking in Cocaine: 28 grams or more, but less than 200 grams, which could result in a mandatory 3 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
Trafficking in Cocaine: 200 grams or more, but less than 400 grams, which could result in a mandatory 7 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
Trafficking in Cocaine: 400 grams or more, but less than 150 kilograms, which could result in a mandatory 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Trafficking in Heroin: 4 grams or more, but less than 14 grams, which could result in a mandatory 3 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
Trafficking in Heroin: 14 grams or more, but less than 28 grams, which could result in a mandatory 15 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
Trafficking in Heroin: 28 grams or more, but less than 30 kilograms, which could result in a mandatory 25 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
